MEET THE MIND BEHIND THE MENU

ONE CHEF.
ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.

Chef Danny Kim grew up watching Chef Choi — every show he appeared on, every book he was mentioned in, and eventually a seat at his restaurant. They connected in 2020, and Chef Choi told him he’d be watching back. In January 2026 the invitation came: a stage at Choi Dot, where every chef on the line made time to teach him.

He brought that home to College Street. From Toronto’s night markets to our own counter, Taste Bender runs on the same curiosity — a biscuit that meets a scone, a familiar sandwich with a completely original twist. Influences that shouldn’t work together, made to.
